I am here to talk about the old story.

This story is about a girl who's parents died and she went to live with her sissters mother (aunt)

As this girl lived with her aunt.

Her aunt didn't like her.

They gave her a lot of work.

The young siblings (cousins) didn't do anything else.

This girl did that job all the time.

After some few days passed.

These boys walked in every home.

Asking who's shoe it belonged to.

The shoe belonged to that girl but her young mother(aunt) knew it belonged to that girl and she didn't want them to know.

Naba aloma ali sasili sio omukhna oyo ta kokesia bakhana bewe batiti lakini sesiabola tawe.

And she said it didn't belong to that girl, she claimed it was for her younger girls but it didn't fit them.

These boy went back home with that shoe.

They lived and lived and later.

One day when this old man went to fetch water.

After she told him, the old man told her that he wished the girl would visit her another day.

One day this girl planned and away from home because her aunt never wanted her to walk around.

So this only man wanted the girl to marry his son because the old man was the village leader.

It said that it would eat her at night.

As this girl was in that house.

The ogres came and put water to boil in order to eat her.

This girls started crying a lot.

When it reached at night, the ogres drew water and put it to boil.

And the got a sleep, when they got a sleep.

The girl left through a hole.

She ran fast.

As she ran fast in the forest.

She saw smoke coming from a house.

She saw an old woman come fro, it when she went close.

This old woman asked her what she was doing in the forest as a young girl when she saw her.

The ogre will have eaten you.

So thre ogres don't eat an old woman.

That is why the old woman lives in the forest.

The old woman took that girl and put her in her house.

After she put her in the house.

Kamenyanga nenaye kamenyanga nenaye luleyi kabisa.

She lived with her for long.

When she lived with her for long.

One day these ogres went to this old woman when they were looking for this girl.

But this old woman hid this girl, they didn't find her.

This girl lived in the forest for long because there was nowhere else she could use to get out.

One day she started to sing a song while seated in that house.

She sang the song.

Nono esuku ekindi omusoleli yuno abele khakaya chikhafu kaulila kumwenya.

So this boy heard the song another day whlile looking after the cows.

He moved closer when he heard the song.

Nga kesenda simbi sabona omundu tawe.

He didn't see a person when he moved closer.

Omusoleli oyoyo kela engo.

That boy went back home.

Nono nga kechanga khukhwaya chikhafu buli nyanga.

As he used to come and look after the cows daily.

Abele aulilanga kumwenya omukha nekemba.

He used to hear a girl sing a song.

Nga kaulilanga kumwenya esuku ekindi kacha kabolela papa wewe.

As he used to hear the song, one day he went and told his father.

Ali papa mbulilanga omukhana nakembela mumusiru lakini nakhesenda simbi semubonanga tawe.

That, "father I hear a girl sing from the forest but I can't see when I move closer"

Papa wewe kamubolela ali ako kamanani niko.

His father told him that those were ogres.

Omusoleli oyoyo nga kelangayo.

When that boy continued going back.

Kaulilanga kumwinya nekumulanga kwenya buyeti.

He heard the song calling him for help.

Nono esuku ekindi omusoleli yuno kaloma ali ese kane nje ndole, ndole sina simbanga.

So another day this boy said he would go and look at what sings.

He saw a house when he went closer.

After seeing the house, he reached closer and saw an old woman.

He asked the old woman what was singing.

That old woman told him there was a girl who went in that forest.

Mala esese namwangala.

And I picked her.

This girl comes from a certain old man.

But her mother is dead.

So when the boy entered inside and saw the girl.

He went and asked her aunt.

Her aunt used to say the girl died.

But her father (aunt's husband -uncle) used to love that girl.

Even if her aunt her hated her, the uncle kept looking for the girl.

So this aunt when this girl got lost.

The mother was angry when she had a swollen stomach and the girl supposed to die didn't die.

The girl was so shocked when she came back and found her young cousin dead.

She didn't what was going on because it was her aunt who had given that girl the poison.

This girl used to go through a lot of difficults.

She was walking and another man dropped money.

She followed that father (man) and told him he had dropped his money while walking.

This man was excited,

He asked that girl where she came from.

This girl told him where she comes from.

Kamubolela ali sali nende babebusi ta babebusi bewe bama nebacha ekombe.

She told him that her parens died.

Omusakhulu yuno kasangala kekomba nende khumenya omukhana yuno.

This old man was excited and wished to live with this girl.

He went and talked to the girl's mother saying he would have wished to live with that girl.

Whe he went and lived with that girl.

The gir told him that she wished to go back to school.

Because her education had stopped when she went to the forest.

This man took this girl to school when she went to live with him.

She found her mother very sick and there was no-one to take her to hospital.

She took her aunt to hospital and healed.

She build a house for the aunt.

She took her cousins to school.

And the man's boy.

The boy who wanted her was also educated.

She met with that boy after all had finished school and it was joyous.

The boy went and brought wealth (dowry) at home.

The paid dowry (cows) for the girl.

They brought alcohol to the father.

They brought many things to him including maize flour.

Bamenya bulayi omukhana kacha kamenya ewewe.

They lived well with the girl at his place.

My story ends there.

So on this story.

We have seen that this girl went through many challenges.

This girl had a good heart.

She went through many challenges.

This aunt mistreated her.

Omukhama yuno kaba nekumoyo kuli kumulayi.

This girl had a good heart.

So we learn that.

Khusibala khuno nowenya omenye bulayi enyekhana obe nende kumoyo kuu kumuyo kukhabona bubi tawe.

You should have a good heart if you want to live well in this world.

Ne omukhana abanga kaba nende kumoyo kubona bubi.

If this girl had a weak heart.

Every time, she wouldn't be living at this aunt's place.

We see that even when your parents died.

You should not have a bad heart on your colleagues wife.

When the child's mother is dead.

We are not supposed to have a bad heart to mistreat someone's child.

So as mothers, it should be a lesson for us not to mistreat other people's children.

We should live with other people's children well.
