Nise Risper Sitawa Nyongesa.
I am Risper Sitawa Nyongesa.
Ndiano nende chisimo nicho nenya khubabolelakho, lusimo lwekhuranga.
I am here with parables I want to share with you. The first parable.
Bali okaenyela sakambukhila tawe, lusimo luno lurumikha.
Someone who laughs about the water in a river does not cross over it. This parable is used.
Niyo yabao papa mulala abele alotanga mala kambukhanga luluchi.
There was one man who used to cross the river on his way back.
Nakhalota, enyenga ndala kacha.
When he was coming back one day.
Kama niyo kama.
Coming back from where he went daily.
Kacha khuluchi kanyola luluchi lwichule.
He went to the river and he found it overflowing.
Mala kachekha ali eeh ali nono sino sindu sititi sana ali ndumanga chibira anano kachekha.
Then he laughed and thought that was a very small thing. He said to himself,"I cross rivers overflowing more than this one."
Ali kano nambukha nio.
"With this one I will still cross."
Kengila mumechi kanja khwambukha naba nga kola akarikari we luluchi.
He got into the water to cross and when he reached in the middle of the river.
Nekamechi kamukhaya kamani.
The water overpowered him.
Mbo akhaka khusoka, mbo akhaka khwifongora.
However much he tried and struggled to swim.
Tawe, nekamechi kamukhaya busiro nekesikha nekamechi.
The water was too strong for him and he drowned.
Nafwila mumechi. Nono lusimo luno lukhubolela mbo.
He died in the water. This parable teaches us that.
Okhalekanga sisindu nokhasikhola tawe, namwe okhamochelesianga sisindu nokhasimala tawe.
Never to disregard or look down on something before you do it.
Onyala wabona oli sindu sino sindu sititi nisyo olabirirao sa lakini.
You might take something for granted for being simple to handle.
Oba oli ekhumalilikha wicha onyola oli siakhukhayile.
At the end you may realize you were not able to handle it.
